Membership Sign-ups Now Open!

The big news this week is that we have reached an agreement in principle with an organisation to provide a home for 507001. We are waiting for final approval from the powers-that-be to confirm that our plan for the unit’s future is acceptable. We are also holding conversations with all parties about the practicalities of moving the unit to its new home.
We have also registered a limited company, Class 507 Preservation Ltd, to satisfy the requirement that a corporate body must own the unit.
At the moment we still can't reveal the intended destination for the unit. It is not within the Merseyside area, but we believe it is close enough to be practical. I can say that the location is a place where people will be able to visit and view 001, inside and out. We have a long-term agreement with the site owners, which ensures 507001 has a secure future. The owners of the site are enthusiastic about providing a home for us, and we are looking forward to working with them.
As soon as we receive final approval for our plans, we will be able to announce the location. Those of you who have signed up to this newsletter will be the first to know, before we release the news to the wider world.

There are three levels of membership.
- Standard membership for adults which will cost £30 per year.
- Junior membership for people aged under 18, will cost £10 per year. The
lower price of the junior membership reflects that we may have to restrict younger members
from taking part in certain activities.
- “Tenner-a-month” (Premium) — for members who pay £10 per
month by standing order, you will receive:-- A printed membership card
- The option to choose your favourite 507 or 508 as a member number (on a first-come,
first-served basis). - A free gift (to be determined, but will be an item of C507PS-branded merchandise)
