A stimulating simulating experience for The Greatest Gathering

Visitors to The Greatest Gathering will have the opportunity to handle the controls of a 507, as we debut our Class 507 simulator at the event.
This amazing addition to our exhibit is possible thanks to the efforts of Dan Sewell at TS Controllers, who adapted a driver’s desk from 507023 into a simulator controller. We are very grateful to Dan, who volunteered his time and expertise for what turned out to be a large undertaking.
TS Controllers sells unique hardware controllers for train simulators. Their products include throttle and brake controllers, door panels and even AWS plungers. With TS Controllers, a simulator becomes a truly immersive experience for would-be train drivers.
TS Controllers also creates custom one-off products, using their extensive research and development experience to make real train controllers work in train simulators. It is this knowledge which has made the Class 507 simulator possible.
Visitors will be able to use the simulator for up to ten minutes (depending on demand, you may need to reserve a timeslot). Everyone who drives the simulator will get a special “I drove the 507!” sticker.
Team 507 have built a housing for the sim controls. Following the Greatest Gathering, the sim may be available at future shows that the Class 507 Preservation Society attend, subject to space being available.
