A Rainhill trial for our class 507 simulator

Over the past few months, we’ve been making some improvements to our cab simulator, making it even better than it was at The Greatest Gathering. Now we’re ready to show it off at Rainhill MRC’s Christmas Model Railway Show on 29th November.

The simulator is based around a driver’s desk, adapted by TS Controllers to interface with a PC running Train Sim World software. Handles, buttons, lights and gauges all work realistically. It’s as close as you can get to a real 507 without climbing into the cab of 507001.
Our simulator isn’t just a driving sim: TS Controllers has also incorporated guard control panels, so you can operate the doors and give the “ding-ding” signal!

We are bringing the sim to Rainhill Christmas Model Railway Show this Saturday, 29th November. The venue is Rainhill High School, Warrington Road, Rainhill L35 6NY. The show is open from 10am until 5pm and admission is just £5 for adults and £6 for children. The sim itself will be free, but we would appreciate a small donation to the C507PS.
For more details see the flyer below or check out Rainhill MRC on Facebook.
