Try our 507 simulator at Rainhill Model Rail 2026

The Class 507 Preservation Society is bringing our unique class 507 simulator to the Rainhill Model Railway Club‘s 2026 show this weekend (7-8 March).
Our sim, built using parts from a genuine Class 507 driver’s cab, has been a big hit at every show it has been to, since its debut at The Greatest Gathering last year.
We are grateful to TS Controllers for their work converting the controls to interface with a computer. If you want to take your train simulation experience to the next level, head to their website to see the range of realistic controls which provide an authentic, immersive driving experience.
IMPORTANT: In order to reduce queues and ensure as many people as possible can have their turn on the simulator, we will be using a timed ticket system. Come to see us when you first arrive at the show and we will give you the next available slot on the sim. You can then go and enjoy the rest of the show without having to wait around, and come back at your allocated time.
We will also have our sales stand with our usual range of souvenirs on sale, and some of our volunteers will be on hand to talk about 507001.
Not forgetting of course, the wide variety of layouts, societies and traders that will be attending the show. It promises to be a great day out!
The venue is Rainhill High School, Warrington Road, Rainhill L35 6NY. The show is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
