Today marks one year since 507001 left Birkenhead North for Unimetals Newport, where it was split and each individual coach loaded onto trailers for onward transport to Alstom’s Litchurch Lane works.

We were pleased to welcome members of the Class 507 Preservation Society to a special “open day” at Alstom’s Litchurch Lane on 8th April.
507001 runs for the third time in preservation

On 21st April, 507001 paid a further visit to the Alstom test track, marking the third time the unit has operated under its own power since entering preservation.
Planes, Trains & Automobiles in Derby

Class 507 Simulator makes Welsh debut at Llangollen Railway Classic Transport Weekend

Visitors to this year’s Classic Transport Weekend at the Llangollen and Corwen Railway will have the rare opportunity to take the controls of a Class 507 train when an exclusive driving simulator makes an appearance at one of the UK’s premier heritage transport events.
